Dean D'Camera, Managing Member

Dean brings a dynamic and interesting background to his clients, as a former Anne Arundel County Police office, who has served in the positions of patrol officer, narcotics, child abuse and homicide detective. During that time, Dean also served with the U.S. Army Reserve, The Maryland National Guard and the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company.

Dean joined the insurance industry in 1995 as a producer with the Chesapeake Insurance Group. Over the years Dean became the leading producer for CIG. When CIG was sold to Sandy Spring Bank in 2001, Dean was named Vice President of the Sandy Spring Insurance Corporation and its subsidiaries, which included Chesapeake Insurance Group. In 2004 Dean was named President of the Insurance Corporation which eventually grew to include Wolfe & Reichelt and Neff & Associates. Dean was responsible for the day-to-day operations of a firm with premiums in excess of $50,000,000 and a staff of 40 insurance professionals.

Dean has obtained the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) Designation as well as the Professional Work Comp Advisor (PWCA) Designation. Dean is a coach and facilitator with the Work Comp Advisory Group. In addition to D'Camera Group, Dean is also the Managing Member of the Work Comp Coach, a consulting and coaching business that works exclusively with clients to teach advanced offensive and defensive strategies to manage total cost of comp.

Dean launched D'Camera Group in 2007 with a vision of creating a unique approach to insurance, risk management and business partnership that make D'Camera Group a must for businesses leadership team.

Dean is an avid Maryland Terrapin fan, having served as President of the Maryland Gridiron Network from 1999-2006. Dean was also very involved in the Touchdown Club of Annapolis having served on the Board of Governors for 10 years and President during the 49th and 50th Anniversary Years. Dean and his family created the Louis A. D'Camera Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2005 and have supported higher education for members of the volunteer fire service in Maryland. The fund is a donor advised fund of the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County. D'Camera Group supports many local charities within our community.

Dean lives in the Bay Ridge Community of Annapolis with his wife Christy and their daughter Sophia.

Kim Carter

Kim Carter joined D'Camera Group at its inception in January of 2007. She brings 15 years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry. Kim has worked on both the insurance agency and insurance company side of the industry, and she was an underwriter for Chubb Insurance, as well as serving in a variety of roles, including the management of a large commercial insurance agency's support staff.

Kim is responsible for the day-to-day management of the key accounts within D'Camera Group. Kim works closely with all members of D'Camera Group to ensure that the Long Range Plans developed for each client are executed. In addition, Kim oversees the underwriting and marketing of the key accounts and works closely with our insurance companies to secure the very best coverage and premium for our clients.

Kim is a graduate of High Point University in North Carolina and received her Certified Insurance Counselor Designation in 2008. Kim resides in Davidsonville with her husband, Chuck, and their children, Emily and Christopher. Kim is an avid Nascar Fan and bowler.

Denise Santivasci

Denise Santivasci is the newest member of D'Camera Group, having joined the team in May of 2009. Denise brings 18 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty industry. Denise and Dean D'Camera have a long history of working together; during Dean's tenure at his previous firm, Denise was responsible for managing his accounts. Denise managed the day-to-day service needs for Dean's accounts as well as several other producers.

Denise will be responsible for the day-to-day management and servicing of the commercial insurance clients of D'Camera Group. Denise has obtained her Certified Insurance Service Representative Designation and is currently pursuing her Certified Insurance Counselor Designation.

Denise resides in Prince Frederick with her husband, John, and their son, Nicholas.
